Как правильно: «stay at home» or «stay home»? Почему «Home Alone» без «at»? Можно ли сказать «in a/the/my home» и «homes»?

ELN Insider, «Behind the Scenes», Issue 4, 2018

AT HOME

. означает «дома» в смысле «не в школе» (at school) и не на работе (at work).

Если именно надо, чтобы вам позвонили по домашнему («настольному») телефону, а не по мобильному, то «call me on my home number».

STAY at HOME или STAY HOME?

В частности, выражение stay at home (BrE) у них выглядит, как stay home AmE (cм.

IN A LUXURY HOME / (have) A HAPPY HOME / (a child) FROM A BROKEN HOME / IN A HOME

IN THE HOME

А выражение «a girl’s (или a woman’s) place is in the home » комментировать страшновато, cами читайте :

IN MY HOME / IN YOUR HOME

IN HUNDREDS OF HOMES

Это уже про природные катаклизмы обычно, плохая погода ( adverse weather ) часто приводит (causes) к отключениям электричества (power cuts) в сотнях жилых домов (in hundreds of homes).

OUTSIDE/NEAR ONE’S HOME

OUTSIDE
