Transport in our life
Currently, people use various types of transport, including trains, cars, ships, planes. A bicycle, a rocket, a submarine, are also vehicles. Transportation is also public, cargo, passenger and special.
Freight transport is designed for the transport of goods, people use public transport on a certain route within the city. This includes buses, trams, route taxis, electric trains. Metro is also a type of public transport. This is the name of the underground underground railway, which operates on electricity. Special transport is designed for special tasks. This includes fire trucks, ambulances, police cars.
Before, when all this equipment was not yet available, people used animals: donkeys, elephants, horses, were ideal for carrying heavy loads and moving long distances. Later people came up with the idea of moving through the air in a balloon. Many travelers used balloons for round-the-world travel. After a while, the first engine was created, so the steam locomotive appeared, followed by a steam engine. Since then, the transport is constantly updated and improved.
Everyone agrees that transportation is a necessary, convenient and cool thing. The modern world will stop without transport. Its only drawback is that it pollutes the air with the exhaust gases of the burning fuel. But even here, people have achieved another breakthrough, since a new electric car has already been created, which operates a battery.

Unusual means of transport
I want to tell you about unusual means of transport.
The floating bus. This bus offers tourists and local inhabitants a unique way to see the sights of Canada. The trip begins on the ground, and then the bus plunges into lakes and rivers. You can visit extremely beautiful places and swim in the lake. However, don`t worry, inside the bus everything is dry, except for small splashes on windy days.
The hanging train. Wuppertal suspended railway line is the only suspended line which passes above the Wupper river in Germany. It is very exciting experience, because you can see picturesque places at high altitude.
The underground cable car. You may be surprised to see the underground cable carwhich is available in Israel. This cable car goes up and down the mountain. It is one of the smallest underground transport systems all over the world, because it has four carriages and six stations.
The bamboo train. Passengers board a bamboo platform which moves very slowly. It is very uncomfortable and cheap trip. Local inhabitants use the bamboo train to transport goods across South Africa.

Unusual means of transport. Aerial lift( канатная дорога) Swimming bus( плавающий автобус)
Aerial lift An aerial lift is a means of cable transport in which cabins, cars, gondolas or open chairs are hauled above the ground by means of one or more cables. Aerial lift systems are frequently employed in mountainous territory where roads are relatively difficult to build and use, and have seen extensive use in mining. Aerial lift systems are relatively easy to move, and have been used to cross rivers and ravines. In more recent times, the cost-effectiveness and flexibility of aerial lifts has seen an increase of gondola lift being integrated into urban public transport systems.
Aerial lift in USA (Roosevelt Island) The ropeway of the island of Roosevelt is some kind of air tram in New York which covers the passage East river and connects Roosevelt’s island to Manhattan. Each cabin contains about 110 people and makes about 115 trips in day. The tram moves with speed about 28,8 km/h and passes about 940 m in 3 minutes. It rises by 76 m over East river, following on a route from North side of Kuinsboro Bridge, opening a view of East side in Manhattan.
Types of areal lift There are different types of areal lifts all over the world. They are: Aerial tramway Gondola lift Ropeway conveyor Funitel and many others
Gondola lift A gondola lift, also called a cable car, is a type of aerial lift which is supported and propelled by cables from above. It consists of a loop of steel cable that is strung between two stations, sometimes over intermediate supporting towers. The cable is driven by a bullwheel in a terminal, which is typically connected to an engine or electric motor. They are often considered continuous systems since they feature a haul rope which continuously moves and circulates around two terminal stations.[1] Depending on the combination of cables used for support and/or haulage and the type of grip (detachable grip vs. fixed grip), the capacity, cost, and functionality of a gondola lift will differ dramatically. Because of the proliferation of such systems in the Alpine regions of Europe, the French language name of Télécabine is also used in an English language context
Ropeway conveyor A ropeway conveyor or material ropeway is essentially a subtype of gondola lift, from which containers for goods rather than passenger cars are suspended. Ropeway conveyors are typically found around large mining concerns, and can be of considerable length. The COMILOG Cableway, which ran from Moanda in Gabon to Mbinda in the Republic of the Congo, was over 75 km in length. The Norsjö aerial tramway in Sweden had a length of 96 kilometers.
Ropeway conveyor In Ethiopia the Italians built the Asmara- Massawa Cableway in 1936, which was 75 km long. Conveyors can be powered by a wide variety of forms of energy, electric, engines, or gravity (particularly in mountainous mining concerns, or where running water is available).
Swimming bus Hippo (hippopotamus) is the unique vessel containing about 40 passengers which offers land and water rounds across Toronto in Canada. This amphibian bus offers tourists and locals a unique way to sight-see the city. The trip begins on the earth, and then the bus plunges into Lake Ontario. You can visit a city safari in one of the most beautiful cities of Canada with all its historical places and majestic waterways, and also bathe in Lake Ontario by this unusual bus which floats. In the bus there are life jackets and as on any the plane, the guide in brief shows as them to use before the bus will plunge into water. However, don’t worry, in the bus – everything is dry, except for small splashes in windy days.
